About the Scholarships

The Women in Transport (WiT) Leadership Development Scholarship Program has been offering career advancement opportunities for high-potential women in the transportation industry since 2017. These scholarships aim to empower women to ascend to senior positions within the field.

Each year, three scholarships, valued at up to $30,000 each, are awarded until 2024. These scholarships support leadership development courses at the undergraduate, master’s, postgraduate, and executive levels, focusing on areas related to transport and infrastructure.

The WiT scholarships are open to all women, including transgender women, and gender-diverse individuals who are employed by the Victorian Public Service (VPS) within MTIA and its projects, the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) and its agencies, or V-line. Applicants must have completed their employment probation period.
